Town Point UMC

Town Point United Methodist Church

Town Point is our sister facility that is nestled among farms, marinas and waterfront communities on Port Herman Road near the town of Chesapeake City.  Weekly worship services are now held in our sister facility Trinity, located in South Chesapeake City on the corner of Third and George Streets.

Traditional worship is at 9a.m., Sunday School for all ages is at 10:15a.m., and contemporary worship is at 11a.m.

Town Point is used for ministry functions including retreats, weddings, community meetings, and specially scheduled worship services. There is also a labyrinth on the grounds of Town Point which is always open for prayer walking.

We are currently in discernment about additional ways God is calling us to use this facility for God's glory.

Come, worship with us and we will welcome you into our family!

What about making a commitment to God’s community here?

At the Easter Vigil each year we receive new members and confirm youth. (Additional opportunities are scheduled a few additional times per year.) Going back to the earliest days of the Church, this is when new converts were baptized and received into the community of faith. We will again receive folks who want to profess faith in Christ, or recommit to Christ, and become a member of this community of faith. In preparation for membership, a person commits to living as a disciple of Jesus Christ, worshipping weekly, serving others, growing spiritually by being a part of a small group, praying regularly, giving God a tithe (ten percent), and sharing Christ's love. In preparation, we ask that you participate in at least one of the following and attend a one time orientation:

  1. The Walk to Emmaus (spiritual retreat weekend) Contact the office 410-885-5641 or office@trinitytownpoint.com
  2. Pariticpate in a small group like Beginnigs or Simply Christian, or a Covenant Discipleship group. Groups are led on Thursday nights at 7p.m. after community dinner at 6p.m. as well as throughout the week at our sister church, Trinity.
